F# introduction
Event description
F# will ship as a first class citizen of Visual Studio 2010, and .NET 4.0 will include some special support for F#. But what is F# and why should you care? This talk will try to address that question. First we'll look at the basic building blocks of F#: functions, pipelining and immutability. This should give you a feel for what a functional program in F# looks like. In a second part, we'll see some real world applications and examples of F# in action. We'll conclude with some pointers so you can continue exploring F# on your own.
